String AI – Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract.

If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization and that “you” refers to the organization.

2. Services Overview

String AI provides infrastructure and software for:

• Data Extraction & Delivery – web-scraping, change-detection, and large-scale data-collection pipelines.
• Polling & Alerting – low-latency monitoring of public websites for updates or new records.
• Automated Feeds & Dashboards – delivery of normalized data into customer-specified destinations (e.g., GCS, S3, Looker Studio).
• Self-Serve Tools – configurable schema generation, credit-based usage, and client dashboards.

The Services are designed to collect publicly available information and transform it into structured datasets, analytics, and dashboards for authorized clients.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

3. Account Registration & Access

You may need to create an account and provide accurate, complete information.

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.

String AI reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. License & Use Rights

Subject to these Terms and any applicable Order Form, String AI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services solely for your internal business purposes.

You may not:

• reverse-engineer or copy our software or data-collection infrastructure;
• resell, sublicense, or redistribute data without written permission;
• use the Services to collect personal data, violate websites' robots.txt, or interfere with third-party systems;
• use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, or competitive purposes.

5. Data Ownership & Intellectual Property

All technology, software, algorithms, and data-processing methodologies remain the exclusive property of String AI.

You retain ownership of datasets you upload or provide to us for enrichment.

Data delivered through the Services is licensed, not sold, and may be used only within the scope defined in your contract or subscription plan.

Any derivative works or analyses you create using String AI data belong to you, provided they do not expose the raw or source data.

6. Payment & Credits

Usage may be billed via credits, subscription tiers, or enterprise contracts.

You agree to pay all fees in accordance with your pricing schedule or order form.

Late payments may result in suspension of access.

All fees are non-refundable, except as required by law or expressly stated otherwise.

7. Confidentiality & Data Security

Each party agrees to protect the other's confidential information with at least reasonable care.

String AI implements industry-standard security measures (encryption, access controls, audit logging) but cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for securing your credentials and downstream systems.

8. Compliance & Acceptable Use

You must comply with all applicable laws, including:

• U.S. Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA)
• U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA)
• EU and U.K. GDPR, CCPA, and other data-protection laws

String AI reserves the right to disable access if your use may expose us or others to liability.

9. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with third-party platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS, Looker Studio).

Your use of such integrations is governed by the respective third-party terms, and String AI is not responsible for their actions or data handling.

10. Conflicts Between Agreements

If you have a separate signed Data License, Trial Agreement, or Master Services Agreement (MSA) with String AI, those terms control to the extent they conflict with this TOS.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.”

String AI makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• String AI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages; and
• Our total liability under these Terms will not exceed the fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless String AI and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims or damages arising from:

• your use of the Services,
• your breach of these Terms, or
• your violation of any law or third-party rights.

14. Termination

Either party may terminate for convenience with 30 days' notice (unless otherwise specified by contract).

String AI may suspend or terminate access immediately if you breach these Terms or if required by law.

Upon termination, all rights granted to you cease, and you must stop using and delete all String AI-provided data unless otherwise authorized.

15. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New York, NY, and each party consents to that jurisdiction.

16. Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., via email or in-app notification).

Your continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
